Albany Police Nab Four in Drug Investigation!
In a significant development, four individuals from Albany and Cohoes have been apprehended as part of an intensive drug investigation. Faylon Sales (29), Jahquan Brown (29), Aaron Bennett (34), all Albany residents, and Jaymeen Gaddy (30) from Cohoes are now facing multiple charges related to the illegal possession and distribution of controlled substances.
As part of an ongoing inquiry, detectives from the Albany Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on the 300 block of First Street around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The operation yielded significant results as police discovered varying quantities of crack cocaine, fentanyl, and illicit pills, leading to the apprehension of the four suspects.
Each of the arrested individuals faces a slew of charges reflecting the severity of their alleged involvement in drug-related activities.
Faylon Sales, Jahquan Brown, Aaron Bennett, and Jaymeen Gaddy are all charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
The execution of the search warrant on the First Street residence marked a crucial step in dismantling the alleged drug operation. Law enforcement officials meticulously combed through the premises, ultimately unearthing significant quantities of crack cocaine, fentanyl, and unidentified pills.
Following their arrest, all four suspects were promptly arraigned at the Albany City Criminal Court. Post-arraignment, they were remanded to the Albany County Jail, except for Jahquan Brown, who was released after the arraignment process.
Examining the individual profiles of the accused sheds light on their alleged roles in the illicit activities. Faylon Sales, a 29-year-old Albany resident, now finds himself detained in the Albany County Jail. Jahquan Brown, also 29 and from Albany, was released after his arraignment.
Aaron Bennett (34), another Albany resident, remains in custody at the Albany County Jail. Jaymeen Gaddy (30), hailing from Cohoes, is also detained in Albany County Jail.
