Urgent Recall: Walmart Cucumber Slices Linked to Salmonella Investigation!

NORTH TEXAS—Walmart has issued a recall for its Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices, sold at 34 of its stores in Texas. The recall is due to possible salmonella contamination, which poses a health risk to consumers.

Federal health officials have warned the public not to consume the recalled cucumbers as part of an ongoing salmonella investigation. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the cucumbers were grown by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V. in Sonora, Mexico, and sold by various importers between October 12 and November 26.

Three companies—SunFed Produce, Baloian Farms of Arizona Co., and Russ Davis Wholesale—recently recalled cucumbers sourced from Agrotato. Russ Davis Wholesale extended its recall to include products containing the cucumbers, such as ready-to-eat salads and wraps. Walmart confirmed that SunFed Produce may have supplied its Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices.

  1. Do not consume, serve, or use the product.
