New Opportunities: 9 Available Grants And Loans For Black and Women Entrepreneurs
Securing money to grow a business can be tough, especially for Black and women entrepreneurs. But now, there are special programs to help. SheaMoisture, for example, has a fund just for Black-owned businesses.
They offer grants like “The Next Black Millionaires,” giving $100,000 to help businesses grow. Another program, “Brown Girl Jane,” offers $10,000 to $25,000 grants for Black and woman-owned beauty and wellness businesses. Even established Black-owned businesses can get a $10,000 grant through their Community Impact Grant.
The government is also stepping in to help. The Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program wants to make sure that at least 5% of government contracts go to women-owned businesses. They give training, counseling, and help with getting contracts.
Then there’s the Black Ambition Prize, giving big awards from $15,000 to $1,000,000 to Black and Hispanic-led businesses. Amazon has its Black Business Accelerator Program, giving support and funding to Black sellers on its platform.
Cartier has its Women’s Initiative Awards, supporting women entrepreneurs globally. They give money, coaching, and support to women with innovative ideas. And there’s the National Black Business Pitch, connecting Black-owned businesses with big companies for contracts.
The RTC Women in Tech Fund supports college women studying tech. They offer grants to help with expenses. Wish has a program specifically for Black-owned small businesses, giving up to $2000 to help grow. And the Amber Grant Foundation offers various grants to women across different industries.
