Rex Heuermann, a Gilgo Beach suspect, is accused of killing two additional women
Thursday marked the day that Rex Heuermann, the suspect in the Gilgo Beach serial killings, was charged with the murders of two additional women. Prosecutors also accused him of keeping a “planning document” to keep track of his atrocities.
On Thursday, the New York architect entered a plea of not guilty to charges that are connected to the murders of Sandra Costilla, whose body was discovered in 1993, and Jessica Taylor, whose remains were recovered in 2003.
Donna Costilla was 28 years old at the time of her death. Eight years later, further remains of Taylor were discovered along Ocean Parkway in Suffolk County, New York.
These bones were located less than a mile away from the location where the bodies of four other women, collectively referred to as the “Gilgo Four,” were discovered, as reported by the Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney on Thursday.
In an earlier court proceeding, Heuermann entered a plea of not guilty to charges connected to the other four murders.
