Two adolescent girls have drowned off the coast of Coney Island in New York, according to police

Two adolescents drowned in the waters off Coney Island, New York, on Friday night, according to the police.

The two girls, who are 17 and 18, vanished into the sea on Friday around 8:10 p.m. in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Stillwell Avenue, according to the New York Post and the New York City Police Department.

Police said the two adolescents were discovered on the coast around one hour later.

After being brought to Coney Island Hospital, the girls were declared dead.

This occurs one week after, according to the Post, two teenage guys were discovered dead after being carried off of Jacob Riis Park in the Queens Rockaways.

The publication stated that on June 21, Elyjha Chandler, 16, and Christian Perkins, 17, were washed away. Their bodies were found on June 29.(Source)
