Two Hobart Daycare Workers Charged With Child Neglect in Alleged Head Start Incident

Two staff members employed by the Community Action Development Corporation Head Start in Hobart are facing charges of child neglect related to events that occurred there.

There is a felony count of child neglect against Crystal Edmundson and Pamela Siesser.

The proceedings started with the Kiowa County Assistant District Attorney asking the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate claims of child neglect following a mother’s disclosure of abuse, according to court records.

The investigation into the incident began in April, when surveillance footage showed Siesser grabbing a 5-year-old by the arm, pulling them across the classroom, and then letting them fall.

Edmundson allegedly grabbed a sleeping 4-year-old, threw them out of their crib, and then pinned them to the floor so they could reach for their toys that same day.

According to Local news, The five-year-old caught her doing the same thing; she informed their mother, who reviewed the film, after the occurrence.

Both of them might spend the rest of their lives behind bars if convicted.
