Marcello Whyte Faces 7 Years in Prison for Drug Trafficking and Escaping Justice!
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania made this announcement on August 21. Whyte’s legal troubles began back in 2011 when he was convicted of conspiring to distribute between 100 and 400 kilograms of marijuana.
For this, he received a 70-month prison sentence followed by four years of supervised release. However, just five months after his release, Whyte was caught again.
On March 18, 2016, during a traffic stop on I-81 in Pennsylvania, state police discovered around 249 grams of cocaine in the rented vehicle Whyte was driving from New York to Pennsylvania.
In 2019, Whyte pleaded guilty to charges related to interstate drug trafficking but was allowed to stay free while awaiting sentencing. His legal troubles continued in July 2020 when he was arrested in New York for possessing a loaded firearm and marijuana.

After posting bail, Whyte missed his federal sentencing and became a fugitive. He was on the run for nearly four years until his arrest on March 23, 2024, in New York on new drug charges.
