DC Violence Epidemic: Pastor Calls for Change After Latest Shooting Incident!

A drive-by shooting in a Washington, DC, neighborhood has left two people seriously injured. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where they received medical treatment. The attack occurred when a vehicle pulled up and opened fire, hitting the victims multiple times.

Pastor Delonte Gholston, a close friend of the victim’s family, spoke to FOX’s Bob Barnard about the incident. He expressed his deep sorrow and frustration, saying, “First of all, my heart goes out to the family and to our community that continues to be hit over and over again by violence. It’s just heartbreaking. We’re sick and tired of the cycle of violence that could be prevented.”

Gholston further criticized the city’s lack of investment in violence prevention. He noted the contrast between the ongoing development and construction in other parts of the city and the repeated violence in certain neighborhoods. “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to look at our city.

There are cranes everywhere, there’s development everywhere, but certain communities like this get hit over and over again by violence because our city just refuses to invest in prevention,” he added.

The community is calling for action and change as the cycle of violence continues to impact their lives. Local authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and help with the investigation.
