Tragic Glenville Crash: Four Lives Lost in Early Sunday Morning Accident!

A tragic accident in Glenville led to the deaths of four people. The crash occurred on state Route 5 when a vehicle veered off the road and ended up in a ditch. According to the police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it went airborne, struck several trees, and then crashed into the ditch around 3:20 a.m.

The vehicle involved was a Honda Accord, and sadly, all four occupants—three men and one woman—lost their lives at the scene. The police have not yet released the names of the victims, as they are waiting to notify the families first. Autopsies were expected to be conducted on Sunday afternoon.

Glenville Police Chief Stephen Janik mentioned that it has been a long time since Glenville has seen such a devastating accident involving multiple fatalities in one vehicle. The police are currently investigating the cause of the crash and are looking for more information.

Chief Janik also noted that they received an anonymous tip about potential video footage that might have been captured by another vehicle at the scene. It’s unclear if this vehicle was traveling with the group, but if the video exists, it could be crucial in helping the police determine what caused the accident.

The vehicle was believed to be heading from Amsterdam to Schenectady, but Chief Janik did not specify the exact location where the journey started.
