Urgent Warning in Saratoga County: Suspicious Man Tries to Lure Child in South Glens Falls!

A father in South Glens Falls, New York, is urging residents to remain cautious after a man allegedly attempted to lure his 4-year-old son. The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 18, after 6 pm, when Isaac Bovee noticed a man acting suspiciously near his home on Gansevoort Road.

Bovee recalls seeing the male driver of a dark green Chevy pickup truck parked across the street from his yard. “He pulled up on the other side of the street and was watching over here in my yard,” said Bovee. “He pulled around to the front of my house and started saying, ‘Come here, come here,’ to my 4-year-old, who was right in front of the lawn.”

The child in question, Theodore, appeared unaware of what was happening at the time. Bovee, who was sitting on his porch, immediately took action when he realized the man was calling out to his son. “That’s when I got up and yelled, and he sped off,” Bovee said.

Bovee then contacted the police and shared the alarming encounter on social media to warn others. His post quickly gained traction, receiving over 500 shares. The Mayor’s office followed up by issuing an alert to the community, urging residents to be on the lookout for an Asian male in his 40s driving a dark green Chevy pickup truck with a yellow license plate.

Bovee, a father of four, explained that he had previously discussed the importance of “stranger danger” with his children, but this incident has heightened his awareness. “I don’t like to live in fear, but I’m definitely more aware now. I never thought something like this would happen,” Bovee admitted.
