Free Dental Services in Capital Region: How to Book Your Spot for October 5 Event?

New York State Dental Foundation is teaming up with Hudson Valley Community College, the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), and St. Peter’s Health Partners to bring free dental services to the Capital Region.

The event will be held on October 5 at Hudson Valley Community College from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the event, NYSDA dentists and students from HVCC will offer a variety of dental services for free. These services will include dental screenings, emergency care, diagnosis or treatment needs, pain management advice, tooth extractions, and more.

In addition, a Community Dental Health Coordinator will be present to help ensure that all patients have a clear follow-up care plan in place after their visit.

This event is open only to community members who are 18 years of age or older.

Anyone interested in attending must schedule an appointment in advance by visiting the New York State Dental Foundation’s website.

Last year’s event was a big success, with around 120 people signing up for free dental services. Among those, 26 patients had over 80 teeth extracted.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in four U.S. adults between the ages of 20 and 64 has at least one untreated cavity, and more than 40% suffer from gum disease.

This event provides a valuable opportunity for people to take care of dental issues that might otherwise go untreated.
