Police are on the lookout for a man who broke into an Upper East Side apartment early Saturday morning and assaulted a 29-year-old woman in her home.

The disturbing incident occurred at 3:40 a.m. in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan, near East 92nd Street and First Avenue.

Authorities have reported that the attacker, an unfamiliar man to the victim, forced his way into her apartment before sexually assaulting her.

After the attack, the woman was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

Police released surveillance footage on Saturday night in an effort to identify the suspect.

The video shows the attacker wearing a green jacket, a white shirt, and blue jeans. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information on the suspect to come forward.

The attack has sent shockwaves through the neighborhood, with residents expressing their concern and fear.

A woman who lives nearby told 1010 WINS, “There’s so much to be concerned about; I’m at the maximum level of concern that I’m almost numb.”
