Loyal Customer's Tattoo Prompts West Avenue Pizzeria to Support Logan Strong Foundation

Loyal Customer’s Tattoo Prompts West Avenue Pizzeria to Support Logan Strong Foundation!

West Avenue Pizzeria is making a heartwarming gesture after one of its loyal customers decided to get their new pizza box logo tattooed on his leg. The pizzeria has decided to donate the proceeds from the sale of a pizza named after this customer, Jon Korniak, to the charity of his choice, the Logan Strong Foundation.

The story began when Mario Cardenas, the owner of West Avenue Pizzeria, wanted to give his pizza boxes a fresh new look. He teamed up with tattoo artist Travis John to create a unique design. Instead of the typical chef illustration seen on most pizza boxes, John crafted a design that featured Mario himself tossing a pizza in the air.

The design also incorporated Mario’s tattoos, giving it a personal touch. A picture of Mario holding his son inspired the drawing, making it even more meaningful.

Cardenas proudly unveiled the design on Instagram, and the response was overwhelming. To celebrate, he organized a giveaway. Three lucky winners were chosen, and one of them was Jon Korniak, a devoted fan of West Avenue Pizzeria.

While the other two winners opted for the $100 gift card for food and a t-shirt featuring the logo, Korniak had something different in mind. He chose the alternative prize—$100 toward a tattoo from Travis John. Korniak, being laid-back about his tattoos, decided to get something special: the exact design of the pizza box logo that he had won in the giveaway.

This decision took Travis John by surprise, but he was excited to bring the design to life in such a permanent way. The bright red tattoo now proudly sits on Jon’s calf, symbolizing his loyalty to West Avenue Pizzeria.

In return for Jon’s incredible tribute, Mario Cardenas felt compelled to give something back. He added a special pizza to the menu, named after Jon, featuring his favorite toppings – chicken parm, hot honey, and ricotta cheese.

What’s more, on October 1st, all sales from this pizza will be donated to the Logan Strong Foundation, a charity Jon chose. The foundation offers comfort and support to children undergoing medical treatment, both in the hospital and at home.
