Caught on Camera: Man Brazenly Steals from Manhattan Box Trucks in Broad Daylight!
Police have released photos of a man who has been seen stealing from box trucks in Manhattan during the day. According to the authorities, these incidents have been happening since last year.
The first theft took place on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at around 10:40 a.m. The suspect approached a box truck parked outside 422 West 16th Street in the Meatpacking District.
Officials say the man stole about $1,134 worth of items and drove away in a gray 2020 Acura RDX SUV, heading east on West 16th Street.
The second incident happened on Thursday, August 22, at approximately 9:30 a.m. This time, the suspect targeted another box truck parked at 594 8th Avenue near Times Square.
Police reported that he took around $500 worth of items and ran away on foot, heading south on 8th Avenue.
After looking into these thefts, police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Carlo Longhi.
