Shocking NYC Birthday Party Tragedy: Man Fatally Shot While Pleading for Life!
A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend in New York City, leaving a man dead after a violent encounter during a birthday party.
According to police, the victim, identified as Lenner Zuniga, 35, of Queens, was killed in what has been described as a robbery that may have been related to narcotics.
The incident occurred on Sunday in South Richmond Hill, Queens, around 3 a.m. at an apartment located at 101-66 125th St. Zuniga was celebrating a birthday with seven or eight other men when the situation took a dark turn, leading to his untimely death.
During the party, a confrontation broke out that escalated into a fight. Zuniga, fearing for his life, ran and locked himself in the bathroom. In a desperate attempt to get help, he dialed 911.
According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, Zuniga’s last moments were filled with terror as he pleaded for his life during the call. Tragically, the sound of gunshots could be heard on the 911 call.
Police reported that Zuniga was shot in both his head and torso, and he also suffered multiple stab wounds.
Despite the efforts of medics who rushed to the scene, Zuniga succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
At this point, authorities have not made any arrests, although they do have a person of interest in the case.
NYPD Chief Kenny mentioned that they have a strong suspect but are still working on gathering enough evidence to move forward with probable cause.

Chief Kenny referred to the location as a “flophouse,” hinting at its history of illegal activity and its role as a gathering place for those involved in questionable activities.
