NYC Robbery Case Ends with 35-Year Sentence for Attempted Witness Murder!

A New York man was sentenced to 35 years in prison for multiple charges, including robbery, firearm offenses, and intimidating a witness through attempted murder.

The sentencing took place in Greensboro, North Carolina, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of North Carolina.

The man, identified as 40-year-old Ryan Lewis Little from New York, was involved in a series of violent incidents across North Carolina and New York.

He faced charges in both the Middle District of North Carolina and the Southern District of New York.

In May, Little pleaded guilty to interference with commerce by robbery and retaliating against a witness through attempted murder.

A month later, in June, he pleaded guilty to an additional charge of interference with commerce by robbery and possession of a firearm in connection with a crime of violence, this time related to events in New York.

According to court records, the series of crimes began on April 8, 2022, when Greensboro police officers responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery.

The incident took place at the Chemistry Nightclub Food Truck located on Spring Garden Street around 7 p.m. A food truck employee reported that a man, later identified as Little, approached the truck, pulled out a silver handgun, and demanded money.

Surveillance footage captured the scene, showing Little pointing the firearm at the employee and asking for money. The employee informed him there was no cash, at which point Little pushed the employee and fled from the scene.

This robbery attempt was just one of several similar incidents that law enforcement had been investigating since March 2022.

Days later, on April 12, 2022, the case escalated when Little shot a witness in the face.

This witness had cooperated with law enforcement regarding the ongoing investigation into the robberies. After the shooting, Little fled from North Carolina to avoid capture.

On April 20, 2022, officers from the New York Police Department responded to a report of another robbery at a restaurant.

According to a restaurant employee, Little entered the establishment around 10:30 p.m. and brandished a silver firearm, which he partially concealed beneath a newspaper.

He managed to steal approximately $1,500 from the restaurant’s cash register before fleeing the scene.

The employee followed Little to a nearby park, where officers spotted him attempting to hide in the bushes.

After a brief chase, law enforcement arrested Little, who had about $1,100 in cash on him. Officers also retraced Little’s escape route and found a loaded silver pistol, which matched the description of the weapon used in the restaurant robbery.

Additionally, a witness approached the NYPD and reported that Little had tried to carjack him after the robbery.

The investigation that led to Little’s arrest and subsequent conviction was a joint effort by the Greensboro Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), and the New York Police Department (NYPD).

This sentencing marks the end of a violent crime spree that spanned multiple states, with Little now facing 35 years behind bars for his actions.
