Breaking News: Stolen Gun from Florida Discovered Near Schenectady Motel

A Schenectady man is in legal trouble after being caught with a stolen firearm outside a local motel.

Colonie Police were patrolling the Motel 6 parking lot located on 1600 Central Avenue when they noticed a car running without any license plates or registration.

The officers approached the vehicle and found 25-year-old Desmond D. Terry inside.

Upon further inspection, police discovered that Terry had a loaded handgun in his possession.

The firearm had previously been reported stolen from Kissimmee, Florida. To make matters worse, Terry did not have a permit to legally carry the weapon.

As a result, Terry now faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.

After being arrested, Terry was brought before Colonie Town Court for arraignment and then transferred to Albany County Jail. He is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing.
