A man was tragically killed following a shooting near a deli in Mount Vernon, New York. The incident occurred late Wednesday, October 23, around 10:30 p.m., in the vicinity of the Taiz Market & Deli, located at 22 West Lincoln Avenue.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds. One man was shot in the left forearm and was transported to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment. The second man suffered more severe injuries, having been shot in the left underarm.

Despite being rushed to Mount Vernon Hospital, he later succumbed to his injuries. Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
