Shocking Attack: Woman Followed and Shot in Face in Houston Apartment Complex!
A woman was shot in the face during an attempted robbery in Southeast Houston early Sunday, according to local police.
The incident happened when the woman returned from work and entered her apartment complex on the Gulf Freeway near Maxwell Lane around 1:30 a.m.
As she parked her car, a man followed her into the parking lot and confronted her. The suspect reportedly demanded money from her. During the tense exchange, he fired his gun, hitting her in the face.
Following the attack, the injured woman managed to escape and make her way to her apartment, where she quickly called 911 for help.
Emergency responders arrived promptly, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, doctors have reported her condition as stable, and she is currently under medical care.
The suspect, however, fled the scene immediately after the shooting. At this time, police have not released a description of the shooter. It’s still unclear whether he took any money or belongings from the victim.
Houston Police Department investigators are actively looking into the incident and are seeking any information from the public that might help locate the suspect.
