Paterson, NJ – A 46-year-old man from Paterson, New Jersey, was hospitalized after being struck by gunfire early Monday morning. Authorities are actively investigating the incident and searching for the suspect involved.

The shooting occurred on Monday, November 4, 2024, shortly after 8:30 a.m., in the area of Main and Arch Streets in downtown Paterson.

Paterson Police responded swiftly to a 911 call reporting gunshots in the vicinity. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered evidence of a shooting and located the injured man, who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for medical attention. Officials have confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, has stated that the investigation is ongoing.

Detectives are working to identify and locate the gunman, though no arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon.
