ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday afternoon after a serious incident on South Pearl Street, close to South Ferry Street. The Albany Police Department reported that the teen is facing several charges related to gun possession.
The situation started when officers responded to a call about someone waving a gun from a window in a house on the 100 block of South Pearl Street. Upon arriving at the scene, police officers witnessed someone throw a bag out of a third-floor window.
When the police investigated the bag, they found a loaded gun that looked like an assault rifle. Fortunately, the authorities were able to bring the people inside the house without any issues.
The boy’s actions raised concerns about safety in the community, highlighting the importance of responsible gun ownership and the need for preventive measures to keep guns out of the hands of young people.
