Get Ready for Christmas Cheer: Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Stops in New York!
Get ready to celebrate because the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is back! This brightly lit train will travel through Upstate New York on its yearly journey to spread holiday cheer and support those in need.
Each year, this stunning train travels along two historic railways: Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern. Its mission is to raise donations and help people who face food insecurity during the holiday season.
This year, seven towns in Upstate New York will get a visit from this festive train, which features amazing light displays and live music performances. The train will stop in New York on November 25 and 26 before heading into Canada.
When the train arrives, it will stop in a safe area, and a stage will be lowered for the show to begin. This year’s lineup includes the talented Canadian country group James Barker Band and the soulful singer Clerel.
After a brief introduction by local officials, the music will continue with a mix of classic holiday songs, modern favorites, and original tunes.
Attending these events is free for everyone, but Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) encourages all visitors to bring a monetary donation or healthy food items to help fight hunger in their communities.
Local food banks will be at each stop, ready to accept donations and ensure that those in need have access to food not just during the holidays but all year long.
Since its first trip in 1999, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train has collected over 5.3 million pounds of food and raised more than $24.3 million for community food banks across North America. Here is the schedule for the 2024 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train in Upstate New York:
