Shocking Crime in Cobleskill: 2 Residents Arrested for Alleged Robbery and Assault!

COBLESKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two Cobleskill residents, James Parker, 26, and Nicole Zielinski, 50, were arrested following a robbery and assault investigation in Schenectady. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, around 3:50 a.m., when Troopers responded to reports of a robbery involving a taxi driver.

According to the source, Parker allegedly held the taxi driver at knifepoint while he and Zielinski stole money from the driver. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Later that evening, around 7 p.m., State Police located Parker and Zielinski at their home in Cobleskill. After a brief standoff, both individuals were taken into custody without further incident.

James Parker is facing several charges, including robbery in the first degree, kidnapping in the second degree, assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and theft of services.

Nicole Zielinski has been charged with robbery in the first degree and theft of services.

The suspects were transported to the State Police barracks in Cobleskill for processing. Following this, they were taken to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility, where they are awaiting arraignment.

This case highlights a swift police response, with arrests made less than 24 hours after the reported robbery. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details at this time.
