21-Year-Old Arrested After Shots Fired Reports Shake Small Wisconsin Town!

A 21-year-old man from Campbell, Wisconsin, has been charged with two felonies after being connected to three separate incidents of gunfire over a three-week period.

According to the Campbell Police Department, the first call came in on October 26 at approximately 11:10 p.m.

Residents in the 1700 block of La Crescent Street reported hearing four to five gunshots.

The second call occurred on November 2, around 7:30 p.m., from the same area, with similar reports of gunfire.

The third incident was reported on November 11 at approximately 7:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of La Crescent Street.

This time, residents said they heard seven to eight gunshots and were able to provide a description of the suspect to the authorities.

Shortly after the November 11 call, officers arrived at the scene and apprehended 21-year-old Logan Smizek. He was reportedly intoxicated and in possession of a handgun.

Within five minutes of arriving, officers found evidence linking Smizek to the incident, including video surveillance showing him firing the weapon and shell casings in the street.

Investigators also discovered that several bullets had struck a commercial building nearby.

Authorities believe Smizek is responsible for all three reported incidents. He was arrested and taken to the La Crosse County Jail.

Smizek has been charged with Reckless Use of a Firearm, 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment of Safety, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was released the next day on a signature bond.
