64-Year-Old Queens Woman Jumps Out Window to Survive Son’s Attack!

A 64-year-old woman from Queens jumped out of her third-floor window to escape her knife-wielding son, breaking her leg in the process, according to police reports shared on Saturday.

Authorities are still searching for her 36-year-old son, who has a history of over 30 arrests. The incident occurred late Friday night at the woman’s home on Shore Boulevard near 20th Avenue in Astoria. Police arrived at the scene around 10:30 p.m. and found the woman on the ground outside the building, suffering from a broken leg.

Officers rushed upstairs to the third-floor apartment, but her son had already fled. Emergency medical services transported the woman to Elmhurst Hospital, where she received treatment for her injury.

The woman explained to police that an argument with her son escalated when he grabbed a knife and began threatening her. Trapped in the apartment, she said her only way to escape was to jump out of the window.

Neighbors expressed concern and sympathy for the woman. One anonymous neighbor described her as a kind and helpful person who often assists homeless individuals in the area. “She’s a very nice lady. She’s been living in this neighborhood for many years. She helps out the homeless, probably feeds them, and they help her. Hopefully, she’s okay,” the neighbor said.

Meanwhile, investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the area in hopes of locating her son.

The son’s criminal record dates back to 2009, with previous charges including robbery, burglary, aggravated harassment, and petty larceny, according to police sources.

The situation has left some residents uneasy. A 27-year-old neighbor expressed concern about the safety of the community. “It concerns me because I get home pretty late. It makes me a little jittery. I hope they catch him soon. Bro is still on the loose, and that’s scary,” the neighbor said.
