Country music icon Garth Brooks recently commended NFL star Travis Kelce for his impressive rendition of Brooks’ iconic song, “Friends in Low Places,” during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade.

In an exclusive interview with ET’s Rachel Smith, Brooks expressed his enthusiasm for Kelce’s performance, describing it as “fantastic” and extending an invitation for a repeat at the grand opening of his new Nashville establishment, Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk.

Despite Kelce’s busy schedule being labeled as the “busiest guy on the planet,” Brooks remains undeterred. He acknowledges Kelce’s inability to attend the bar’s opening due to prior commitments in Singapore but is extending his offer to fly the athlete to Nashville at any convenient time.

Emphasizing the uniqueness of Kelce’s take on the song, Brooks appreciates how the repeating Super Bowl champions portrayed the underdog spirit through his rendition.

Expressing his admiration for Kelce’s performance, Brooks stated, “I’ll send a plane anytime he wants to come here and sing.” The country music legend appreciates the way Kelce breathed new life into the underdog anthem and is eager to have him showcase his talent at the grand opening of Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk.

Garth Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood, initially had reservations about being part of the restaurant business but changed her mind after meeting the team behind the establishment.

With the involvement of Strategic Hospitality co-owner Max Goldberg and a hands-on approach from Brooks and Yearwood, the four-story bar boasts a honky-tonk, a menu featuring Yearwood’s recipes, live music, and a rooftop with an oasis theme.
