Three suspects, including two young adults and a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with a gang-related fatal shooting in downtown San Jose last month, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on October 27 in the 100 block of South 2nd Street. San Jose police reported that officers arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Detectives identified 19-year-old Addam Nieto of Milpitas, 18-year-old Brian Medina of San Jose, and a 17-year-old San Jose resident as the main suspects in the case. Police confirmed that all three suspects were affiliated with local gangs.

On November 15, law enforcement officials, including homicide detectives and SWAT officers, apprehended the juvenile suspect in San Jose. The minor was carrying an automatic firearm concealed in his waistband at the time of the arrest. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on murder charges.

Further investigations revealed that Medina was already in custody at the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on unrelated charges. He was subsequently charged with murder and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

Meanwhile, Nieto was found to be in custody on unrelated charges in Stanislaus County. Detectives served him with an arrest warrant for murder, and he is pending extradition to Santa Clara County.
