Breaking News: Malta Woman Faces Serious Charges After Weapon Incident!
A 43-year-old woman from Malta, Carmela M. DiCicco, was arrested by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office on Friday. She faces charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The arrest followed a call about a fight in progress in Malta around 1:34 p.m. on Friday. When officers arrived, they discovered that DiCicco was involved in the incident. According to the Sheriff’s Office, DiCicco is accused of intentionally injuring someone with a dangerous weapon or instrument.
DiCicco is also charged with having the weapon with the intention of using it against another person. She has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Following her arrest, DiCicco was brought before the Malta Town Court, where she was released on her recognizance. She will be required to return for further legal proceedings.
