An Albany man, identified as 34-year-old Kenneth Ford, was taken into custody on October 9 in connection with a robbery and assault case.

The arrest was made following an incident that occurred two days earlier, on October 7, when Ford allegedly assaulted a victim in a moving vehicle in Albany.

According to State Police, the victim, who had a prior acquaintance with Ford, sustained multiple injuries during the alleged attack.

The victim was reportedly assaulted while the two were traveling together in a car. During the assault, Ford also allegedly forced the victim to hand over cash while they were in Cohoes.

Following an investigation, Ford was arrested and is now facing multiple felony charges.

These charges include robbery in the third degree, burglary in the third degree, and assault in the second degree, all classified as class D felonies. Additionally, Ford is charged with reckless endangerment, further complicating his legal situation.

After his arrest, Ford was transported to the State Police Barracks in Latham for processing. Once the necessary procedures were completed, he was taken to the Albany County Correctional Facility. There, he remains in custody, awaiting his arraignment.
