Shocking Walmart Theft: Trio Arrested After Stealing Legos and Assaulting Worker

Three individuals were arrested after an attempted shoplifting incident at a Walmart in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, which resulted in an employee being assaulted, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD). The incident took place around 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, as stated by police reports.

The suspects attempted to steal a large quantity of merchandise from the Walmart. In the process of fleeing the store, one of the suspects assaulted a Walmart employee.

The trio then made a quick getaway in a vehicle, prompting the police to pursue them. MJPD officers responded quickly and were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle as it was heading toward Interstate 40 West.

The police managed to deploy spike strips on the highway, successfully disabling the fleeing vehicle near mile marker 225.

One male suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot but was apprehended by a police officer after a brief chase. Upon his arrest, it was discovered that the suspect had outstanding warrants in both Dickson County, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

Two female suspects who were also in the vehicle were arrested without further incident. All three individuals involved in the crime are from Dickson County, according to the MJPD.

After searching the vehicle, officers recovered several boxes of stolen Lego sets, which had been part of the merchandise taken from the Walmart.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the incident. The quick response and coordinated efforts by the police helped ensure that the suspects were apprehended and the stolen goods were recovered.
