2 Guys are being arrested in relation to several shooting incidents in Fort Myers

Fort Myers, Florida: Two men were taken into custody by the Fort Myers Police Department in relation to many gunshots.

Officers were called to a shooting scene on Sunday, June 16, close to Fowler Street and Moreno Avenue, according to FMPD.

Officers went to another gunshot incident at Romeo Lane on Monday, June 17, the following day, when rounds struck a structure.

The two shootings were related, an inquiry found.

At a residence on Royal Palm Avenue, a search warrant was executed. Four persons were discovered inside the home by SWAT, and 740 grams of cocaine and $11,852 were taken by detectives.

Following his arrest, James Tarver was accused of:

  • trafficking in cocaine
  • Cocaine possession with the intention of selling it within a mile of a school
  • Having drug equipment in one’s possession
  • operating a vehicle while having a suspended license

A warrant for Jauquise McNeal’s arrest in connection with the shooting at Romeo Lane was also obtained by FMPD.

He was apprehended by law enforcement and US Marshals following a five-day manhunt. According to FMPD, a search warrant was executed, and two firearms were found along with other valuable evidence.

Following his detention, McNeal was accused of:

  • launching a lethal missile into a house
  • Pulling a gun

According to FMPD, the investigations are still ongoing, and they want anyone with knowledge on these incidents to get in touch with them or SWFL Crime Stoppers. (News Source)
