21-year-old Homeless Man Arrested in Long Beach for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Two Girls on Public Transit

A man who is homeless and is 21 years old was taken into custody on Friday. He is suspected of sexually abusing two girls in separate incidents that occurred in Long Beach.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, officers arrived at the junction of Carson Street and Atlantic Avenue in response to an allegation of a girl being sexually assaulted, as stated by the Long Beach Police Department.

The youngster was traveling on a bus when she was approached by a male who remained unidentified, as stated by the authorities. The girl and the guy both got off the bus and after what the police described as a “brief verbal exchange,” the suspect “proceeded to sexually batter the victim,” with the victim being the victim.

On Thursday morning, just before 11 o’clock, the suspect is said to have approached another female who was riding a bus close to the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue. In addition to sexually assaulting the victim, he allegedly followed her off the bus and assaulted her sexually.

The suspect was characterized by the investigators as a male who stood 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed 180 pounds, and had chocolate brown eyes, and black hair. In addition to that, he has some minor tattoos on his forearms.

After further investigation, he was determined to be George Marquez, and he was arrested on charges of attempted rape, penetration with a foreign object, and possessing two warrants for harassing a victim and inflicting fear and violence, according to the police. Marquez was being imprisoned on bail of 242,000 dollars.
