4 Guys from New Jersey were taken into custody for attempting to lure children for sexual purposes

On Tuesday, authorities said that four men from the state of New Jersey had been arrested for allegedly attempting to contact youngsters for sexual purposes.

According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, the arrests were made as part of “Operation Cruel Summer,” which is a multi-agency undercover effort for the purpose of targeting individuals suspected of utilizing social media to entice minor children for sexual activities.

According to the authorities, the four males, whose ages ranged from 27 to 65, were under the impression that they were communicating with “underage children” on social media. However, they were actually communicating with undercover officers who were pretending to be minors themselves.

After arriving at a site in East Brunswick where they had anticipated meeting the youngster, the four males were taken into custody earlier this month.

The charges of second-degree luring have been brought against two males from Jersey City: Mohamed Mohamed, who is 41 years old, and Maylar Baron, who is 32 years old. A criminal attempt to jeopardize sexual conduct with a kid was also one of the charges that Baron was charged with. He was also accused of disseminating obscene material to a youngster.

Both Edgar Rivera, 65, of Piscataway and Peter Wissemann, 27, of Colonia have been charged with luring and endangering sexual conduct with a juvenile. Wissemann is from Colonia, and Rivera is from Piscataway.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office was in charge of the “Cruel Summer” investigation, which was carried out with the aid of a number of local police agencies, the United States Secret Service, and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
