6 Arrested in Dramatic Attempted Burglary at Woodbury Jewelry Store!

The Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Bureau has announced the arrests of six individuals tied to a burglary that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Woodbury, New York. This incident unfolded at 3:04 a.m., drawing attention due to the method of entry and the group involved.

According to Source, six suspects reportedly broke into Florique Florists, located at 7961 Jericho Turnpike, by gaining access through the roof.

Once inside the florist shop, the suspects created a passage through an interior wall that led them into Elegant Jewelers, located at 7959 Jericho Turnpike, the adjacent store. Despite entering the jewellery store, the suspects left without stealing any merchandise.

After leaving the jewellery store, the suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a dark grey Dodge Durango. Following a detailed investigation, detectives from the Burglary Squad, with assistance from the Bureau of Special Operations Officers, tracked down the suspects to 171 Lake Drive in Huntington. The suspects were subsequently arrested at this location.

The defendants, identified as Leonardo Alberto Jara-Arias (52), Bruno Paulo Bustos-Saacedra (33), Johnathan Andre Beccera-Paez (33), Henry Yuri Fuentes-Sepulveda (37), Luis Mario Avendano-Tapia (47), and Lebanon R Daza-Gonzalez (22), all residents of 171 Lake Drive, Huntington, now face charges of Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree.

Each defendant was arraigned the following day, on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
