Albany Police Arrest 3 Suspects Connected to Two Violent Robberies in One Night!

The Albany Police Department has arrested three individuals in connection with two robberies that took place on Thursday evening. The suspects are now facing multiple charges related to these incidents.

The three suspects have been identified as Deavonta Benson, 22, from Albany; Isaiah Laurange, 21, from Chatham; and Jaylind Thomas, 21, from Hudson.

All three have been charged with second-degree robbery. Additionally, Laurange faces an additional charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, while Thomas has also been charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

According to police reports, the first robbery occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the area of Ontario Street and Hudson Avenue. The victim was reportedly approached by the three suspects, who demanded his personal belongings.

The suspects then allegedly punched the victim multiple times in the face before stealing his wallet and fleeing the scene.

Shortly after the first incident, officers responded to a second robbery reported in the area of Madison Avenue and Quail Street. In this case, the suspects allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and demanded his property.

The victim’s phone fell to the ground during the struggle, and the suspects reportedly took the phone before fleeing on foot.

The three suspects were later spotted by officers near Washington Avenue and Quail Street, where they were taken into custody. The suspects were scheduled to be arraigned on Friday morning.
