Apple Harvest Festival Arrest: Ithaca Resident Jessiah Jones Caught with Active Warrants!
A man from Ithaca was arrested at the popular Apple Harvest Festival on several active arrest warrants and additional charges. The arrest took place in broad daylight as officers from the Ithaca Police Department identified and detained the suspect at the bustling event.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Jessiah B. Jones, was spotted by officers working security at the festival. The police knew Jones had active arrest warrants and approached him around 1:27 p.m. on September 27. As officers informed him of the warrants, Jones reportedly attempted to resist arrest, pulling away from the officers in an attempt to flee.
The police, however, managed to subdue and arrest Jones without further incident. He was taken into custody and charged with several offenses, including resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and violating local city codes by having an open container of alcohol at the festival.
In addition to the new charges, Jones was also arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, including 13 for trespassing, five for petit larceny, and others for more serious crimes like criminal possession of a controlled substance and harassment.

Jones is now awaiting arraignment in the Ithaca City Court, where the full scope of the charges against him will be addressed.
