Breaking News: Bar Owner Shot Dead in Houston Heights Fight; Employee in Critical Condition
A deadly altercation early Sunday morning in the Houston Heights area left a bar owner dead and an employee critically injured. The incident took place just before 3 a.m. at Tequila B, a bar located on the North Freeway near Jewett Street.
According to the Houston Police Department, a fight broke out in the bar’s parking lot. When the owner and an employee went outside to investigate, both were shot.
Tragically, the bar owner was pronounced dead on the scene, while the employee was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.
The Houston Police homicide division has launched an investigation into the shooting.
As of now, no suspects have been apprehended, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
