Breaking News: Speeding Traffic Stop in Little Valley Leads to Shocking Warrant Arrest!

A routine traffic stop in the Village of Little Valley, New York, led to the arrest of a man wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Town of Hamburg. On October 8, 2024, Sheriff Eric A.

Butler announced the arrest of 52-year-old Lawrence J. Strozewski Jr. Deputies pulled over Strozewski’s vehicle after observing it speeding at around 11:00 AM.

During the stop, deputies discovered that Strozewski had an active arrest warrant issued out of the Town of Hamburg.

After confirming his identity and the outstanding warrant, Strozewski was taken into custody. Following the arrest, deputies searched his vehicle and found a glass pipe containing drug residue.

As a result, Strozewski was charged with Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree under New York Penal Law 220.50.

He was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Little Valley Court, where he will need to address the drug paraphernalia charge.

Once processed, Strozewski was transferred to the Hamburg Police Department to face the charges related to his outstanding warrant.

He was released on his own recognizance, meaning he did not have to post bail, and is expected to appear in court at a later date.

It’s important to note that Strozewski, like all individuals accused of a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

This incident highlights the broader efforts of law enforcement to enforce traffic laws and address outstanding warrants in the community.

Routine traffic stops can often lead to the discovery of other legal issues, as seen in this case, where a speeding violation turned into an arrest for a more serious matter.
