Brooklyn, NY – Legendary rapper and entrepreneur Kenyatta Blake, widely known as Buckshot of the acclaimed hip-hop group Black Moon, was reportedly assaulted in Brooklyn’s Flatbush neighborhood on October 31, leaving fans and the music community in shock. According to reports, Buckshot was attacked in an incident that allegedly left him “half beaten to death.”

The news initially broke through a Facebook post by a user named Sista Asia Wildenboar, who shared a now-deleted message expressing concern for Buckshot’s well-being.

The post read, “Please pray for BUCKSHOT OF BOOT CAMP CLIK WAS BEATEN HALF TO DEATH IN FLATBUSH NYC. MY HEART GOES OUT TO HIM.” Accompanied by a photo, the post quickly gained attention before it was removed from the platform.

Videos circulating on social media captured the aftermath of the assault, showing Buckshot on the ground, visibly bloodied and bruised.

He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where he received medical treatment before being released. However, no information has been made public regarding his assailant or the possible motive behind the attack.

DJ Evil Dee, a member of Black Moon and a longtime friend and collaborator, confirmed Buckshot’s condition to Black Enterprise, reassuring fans that he is now at home and resting.

Buckshot’s contributions to hip-hop and the culture extend far beyond his role as an artist. He first rose to prominence in 1992 with Black Moon’s debut single, “Who Got da Props,” which showcased his unique style and solidified his presence in the industry.
