Clifton Park Assault: 19-Year-Old Man Arrested After Violent Attack Leaves Victim Unconscious!
An alarming incident took place in Clifton Park, located in Saratoga County, on Friday, Oct. 11, around 11 a.m. A 19-year-old man, Malik L. Simms, was arrested for brutally attacking a victim, leaving them unconscious.
According to the New York State Police, the victim, who had multiple visible injuries, went to the State Police headquarters to report the attack. Authorities then investigated the situation and determined that the victim was on Maxwell Drive when Simms approached them. The victim did not know Simms before the incident.
Trooper Stephanie O’Neil of the New York State Police stated that Simms struck and kicked the victim multiple times until they lost consciousness. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) rushed to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Shortly after the attack, officers found Simms walking in the same area where the assault occurred. He was taken into custody, but he resisted arrest and provided police with false information about his identity, according to O’Neil.

Simms has been charged with several offenses, including:

- Resisting Arrest: Struggling against police officers while being taken into custody.
