Deadly Shooting at Schenectady House Party: 15-Year-Old Dies, 13-Year-Old in Recovery!

Schenectady Police have identified the teenage victim in a deadly shooting that occurred during a house party on Congress Street.

The victim, Dubar T. Knowles, was a 15-year-old resident of Schenectady.

Another victim, a 13-year-old girl from the same city, is currently recovering in a local hospital after undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound. She is reported to be in stable condition.

The incident took place around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday in the 1100 block of Congress Street.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found a large crowd fleeing the area in panic. In the backyard of a home at 1122 Congress Street, police discovered the male victim, Knowles, who had been shot in the torso.

Despite immediate medical attention from the Schenectady Fire Department and transportation to a nearby hospital, Knowles did not survive.

During the investigation, authorities learned of a second victim, the 13-year-old girl, who was located several blocks away on Chrisler Avenue.

She had been shot in the head and neck area. After receiving emergency medical care, she was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

According to initial findings, both victims were attending a party when gunshots rang out. Police believe other minors were also present at the party.

However, no arrests have been made yet. Detectives from the Schenectady Police Department and New York State Police are continuing their investigation and following up on several leads.

They are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in solving the case.

In a separate incident, another violent crime took place in Rockville, MD, on the same day.

The City of Rockville Police Department responded to two stabbing incidents near the Twinbrook Subway Station.

The first occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. when an unidentified suspect approached and stabbed an adult male.

A few minutes later, another stabbing was reported in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, just a short distance from the subway station. A second adult male victim was found with a stab wound to the back.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Metro Transit Police are leading the investigation, with assistance from Rockville Police.

The suspect in the stabbings is described as an African American man dressed in black. As of now, the suspect remains at large, and law enforcement agencies are working together to locate him.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area and have increased their presence in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Authorities are asking community members to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1.
