Drunk Driver Flees Police in Yorktown, Found with BAC Over Twice the Limit!
The incident unfolded on Friday, Nov. 22, just before 3:30 p.m., when Yorktown Police received reports of an erratic driver traveling westbound on Route 202. Officers quickly located the vehicle, which was swerving out of its lane, endangering other motorists.
When officers attempted to pull the driver over, the situation escalated. The driver refused to stop and sped away westbound on Route 202, committing several traffic violations and driving recklessly. At one point, the vehicle veered into oncoming traffic, nearly causing multiple collisions.
The chase ended when the car came to a stop in the middle of Route 202. Police arrested the driver, later identified as 39-year-old Fausto Rumipulla Villa from Elmsford.
According to the source, During the investigation, officers discovered that Rumipulla Villa’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.18%, more than twice the legal limit. Additionally, he had an open container of alcohol in the car. A background check revealed that his driver’s license and vehicle registration were both suspended.
The charges against Rumipulla Villa include:

- Aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.18% or higher;

The driver is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m.
