Ellenville Man Charged with Felony Drug Sales After Crack Cocaine Investigation!

A man from Ellenville has been arrested following an investigation into drug sales. The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (U.R.G.E.N.T.) began looking into the sale of crack cocaine in Ellenville earlier this year. In March 2024, police identified Jonathan Guerrero, a 38-year-old resident of Ellenville, as the person responsible for selling the drugs.

The investigation, which continued for several months, led to the presentation of the case to the Ulster County Grand Jury in late October.

According to the source, After reviewing the evidence, the Grand Jury indicted Guerrero on felony charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance. This indictment resulted in a warrant for his arrest.

At the time of the indictment, Guerrero was already being held in the Ulster County Jail on unrelated charges. Once processed for the new charges, he was released from jail on November 19, 2024. Guerrero is now scheduled to appear in Ulster County Court at a future date to face the charges.
