Ex-Greece Post Office Manager Sentenced After Federal Cocaine Plea!
A former postal manager in Greece, New York, was sentenced to six years in prison for stealing drugs from the mail system and attempting to distribute them.
Ralph Minni, 55, who served as the station manager of the Greece Post Office, admitted to tampering with packages that contained illegal substances, including marijuana and cocaine, between May 2018 and May 2022.
During this period, Minni intercepted packages containing drugs, removed the illegal contents, and then resealed and returned the empty packages into the mail system.
He took the drugs to his home, where he redistributed them to others. In some instances, Minni even shared cocaine with a coworker who reportedly used the drug in Minni’s office.
On May 2, 2022, investigators executed a search warrant at Minni’s home, leading to the discovery of marijuana, approximately 700 grams of cocaine, 40 firearms, and over 19,000 rounds of ammunition.
They also found additional marijuana in Minni’s vehicle, which had been stolen from another package. Minni was arrested on the same day after leaving the post office.
In April 2024, Minni pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and possession of a firearm by an unlawful user of a controlled substance. The court sentenced him to six years in federal prison for his role in the drug-related crimes.
This case underscores the severe consequences for public officials who exploit their positions for criminal activities. Minni’s actions not only violated public trust but also involved the illegal distribution of dangerous drugs, further compounding the severity of his crimes.
The discovery of firearms and ammunition added additional layers of concern to the case, highlighting the dangerous environment that Minni had created both at his workplace and at home.
