Heartbreaking News: Oklahoma Mom Arrested After Giving Daughter to Drug Dealer for Meth

A 39-year-old woman from Oklahoma has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of her daughter, who has been missing for over two years. Ashley Rowland is accused of giving her then-2-year-old daughter to a drug dealer while buying methamphetamine.

Rowland was taken into custody last week and charged with child abandonment, as authorities reported that her daughter has not been seen since 2022, according to Tulsa CBS affiliate KOTV.

The situation began when agents from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services were assigned to take custody of the young girl in April 2023.

However, they were unable to locate her. They managed to contact Rowland at a home in Moore, Oklahoma, which is approximately 10 miles south of Oklahoma City. When questioned, Rowland allegedly claimed her daughter was staying with her father in Georgia.

Later, authorities discovered that Rowland’s claims were false, prompting them to reach out to the Moore Police Department. In an interview with detectives, Rowland admitted that in April 2022, she had given her daughter to a man named Carlos.

She also mentioned that she suspected Carlos could be the girl’s biological father, but she wasn’t sure. According to reports, Rowland said she had not seen her daughter since giving her to Carlos, who was involved in selling meth at the time.

Rowland was unable to provide any details about Carlos, except that he was possibly planning to travel to Mexico and lacked identification for the child. Currently, police report that the girl would be five years old, but they do not know if she is still in the country or even if she is alive.
