A man is facing serious charges after allegedly posing as a police officer to carry out a robbery in Orlando. The incident, which took place in August, involved a woman staying in a hotel.

Michael Rodriguez, 27, from New York, is accused of using a fake police persona to gain the woman’s trust and access to her hotel room.

According to the victim, Rodriguez forced his way into the room once inside. He then handcuffed her and took her wallet.

The victim also noted that Rodriguez had a gun in his waistband, adding to the fear and tension during the robbery.

This isn’t the first time Rodriguez has been involved in such an incident. He was also wanted in Lantana for a similar crime.

Authorities have linked him to both cases after spotting him driving the same vehicle at the scenes of the crimes in both Orlando and Lantana.

When he was caught, Rodriguez was found in possession of a fake badge, handcuffs, and other incriminating items.
