Illegal Alien Convicted of Child Sexual Crimes in Sanctuary County, Maryland!

An illegal immigrant who crossed the border between the US and Mexico was found guilty of child sex crimes in Montgomery County, Maryland, which is usually a sanctuary area. 42-year-old Mexican illegal immigrant Ruben Guzman-Martinez first crossed the southern border in 2019.

Officers from the Gaithersburg, Maryland, Police Department captured Guzman-Martinez in July 2019 for driving while drunk. He was found guilty in September 2020 in Montgomery County’s District Court and given a 60-day prison term.

As an illegal alien, Guzman-Martinez was able to end his sentence and return to the community, according to Montgomery County’s “sanctuary policy.”

Authorities in Montgomery County, California, arrested Guzman-Martinez in October 2022 on charges that he sexually solicited a child. Circuit Court for Montgomery County found Guzman-Martinez guilty of two counts of fourth-degree attempted sexual crime in August 2023.

Guzman-Martinez was given a six-month jail sentence and a year of electronic monitoring after he got out. On September 5, in Gaithersburg, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents captured Guzman-Martinez. Indefinitely deported from the United States, he stays in federal custody.
