JFK Airport Arrest: Gloversville Man in Custody Over Protection Order Breach!

Michael D. Jaudon, a 32-year-old man from Gloversville, was arrested on Saturday night at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the arrest was made on an outstanding warrant related to a violation of an order of protection.

Jaudon is facing charges of first-degree criminal contempt, which is classified as a class E felony. This charge stems from an incident that took place on February 22 in Clifton Park, where Jaudon allegedly violated the terms of an order of protection that required him to stay away from the protected individual.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that the charge was elevated to a felony because Jaudon has a prior conviction for second-degree criminal contempt within the past five years. Authorities explained that such repeated violations warrant stricter charges under New York State law.

Following his arrest at JFK Airport, Jaudon was transported to the Saratoga County Jail. He is currently awaiting arraignment in the Saratoga County Court. Further details regarding the incident or the protected individual have not been released.

This arrest highlights the legal consequences of violating court-issued protective orders, especially when previous offenses are on record. The case will proceed in court as Jaudon faces these new charges.
