Justice Delayed: San Jose Police Arrest 2021 Shooter, 2nd Escapes to Mexico!

San Jose police announced a significant development in a 2021 fatal shooting case, arresting after more than three years of investigation. The shooting occurred near Winchester Boulevard and Cadillac Drive on September 10, 2021, and involved two victims.

On that night, officers found a man and a woman who had been shot. The woman was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries despite efforts to save him. The police have not disclosed his identity.

Initial investigations revealed that the shooting was gang-related. Detectives were able to identify two suspects believed to be involved and obtained arrest warrants for them.

On Tuesday, police arrested one of the suspects in San Benito County. The man, identified as 35-year-old Christopher Espinoza from Hollister, was taken into custody and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on murder charges. According to jail records, Espinoza is being held without bail and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

The second suspect, identified as 22-year-old Isaiah Sotelo, is still on the run. Police believe he is currently hiding in Mexico. A felony arrest warrant remains active, and efforts to locate him are ongoing.
