Justice Served: Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Albany Barber’s 2023 Murder!

A Clifton Park man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the fatal shooting of an Albany barber in 2023. The sentencing took place on Friday, bringing closure to a case that had shaken the community.

Timmoure Miller, 19, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the shooting of 47-year-old Tyrone Staley. The incident occurred on May 13, 2023, at Village Barber and Beauty, located on 2nd Avenue in Albany. Staley was in the middle of cutting a client’s hair when gunfire erupted.

According to the sourceTragically, Staley lost his life in the shooting, which also left two others injured. A 19-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy, who were inside the barbershop at the time, were struck by bullets but managed to survive.

The young boy was identified as the grandson of Reginald Graham, the barbershop’s owner and a local pastor. Graham expressed his belief that the intended target of the shooting was actually outside the establishment.

In addition to his prison sentence, Miller will face five years of post-release supervision after serving his time. The decision marks a significant development in a case that had gripped Albany with fear and grief.

The case, however, is not fully resolved. Charges are still pending against two other individuals, identified as Dejoune Smith and Samir Princeton, who were allegedly involved in the shooting. Authorities are continuing their investigation, aiming to ensure justice is fully served.

This tragic incident underscores the devastating impact of gun violence on families and communities. For those who knew Staley, a well-loved barber and community figure, the loss remains deeply felt. The sentence handed down to Miller may bring some sense of justice, but the scars of the incident will likely linger for years to come.
